How to Lose Belly Fat Fast – With Ten Proven Steps

When you’re overweight (but not obese), simply carrying belly fat, you can get away with it and look good with quite smartly designed winter woollies that hide your shapes. But come summer, and we’re so happy to show off our sexy, slim bodies, you look at your muffin top and groan at the fact that in summer you can’t disguise your body as you do in winter. All of you will be on display, which means you need to lose your belly fat and tone up.

With summer on the way, you cannot disguise your midriff with sloppy sweaters that fall lower than your belly to hide it. Nor can you get away with wearing shawls or capes and extra-large scarves as the weather doesn’t call for it, and it, therefore, it can look a little odd. Men cover it with bulky jackets and oversized windcheaters. However, with summer on its way, you cannot get away with wearing these coverups.

However, don’t panic. You need to lose that belly fat as fast as you can, so here are nine proven steps that will help you, and then you’ll be able to enjoy summer fully and show off that great body of yours – which you will then have!

The important thing is, once the weight is off, please continue to maintain it, or it will return in a trice, and that’s not our aim.

Guide to Lose Belly Fat Fast – With Ten Proven Steps

1. Eat lots of Soluble Fiber

Eating lots of this type of fiber helps you drop your levels of blood cholesterol and glucose to a reasonable size.

2. Outstanding Oats

Oats are vital in your daily diet. You will find this essential fiber in oats. Although oats are breakfast cereal, we all know that we can eat them morning, noon, and night. Oats will have the same healthy effect on your system, eaten either cooked or raw.

You can add peas and carrots to this soluble fiber list if you like. I’m also adding barley. Barley is a whole grain, and can be eaten in soups and stews and even just mixed into a meat or vegetable dish while cooking; it’s delicious.

There are so many types of beans – all of them enjoyable, and versatile in menus, and all so healthy. Citrus fruits are lovely – again, there are lots. However, mainly the list consists of oranges, nartjies, lemons, limes, grapefruits, pomelos, and kumquats. Don’t forget apples – there are different types for different uses but all excellent sources of fiber, and finally, for now, let’s talk about psyllium.

I don’t particularly appreciate adding this item to our list because it is a chemically created laxative, and I always feel we should be able to eat correctly so as not to suffer from constipation. However, I’ve added this because I know that some people suffer terribly from constipation, and psyllium is one of the gentler laxatives on the market today and will help without harming.

3. Avoid Trans Fats

Trans fats are foods that have been deep-fried in partially hydrogenated oils. You would find these oils in baked goods such as cakes, cookies, and pies. These could be meat pies or fruit pies, but you should still rather not eat them.

Shortening – which is part of by mixing the flour and butter or margarine or lard, etc., together, – microwave popcorn, frozen pizza, refrigerated dough, as in biscuits and rolls, fried food such as French fries, donuts, and fried chicken, belong on the list. Non-dairy coffee creamer and stick butter and margarine are also part of the list of foods to avoid.

4 Have a High Protein Diet

For example – eggs are one of the most nutritious proteins, and even if fried or made into an omelet, a boiled or poached egg or any other form, all versions are healthy. Almonds are great! Everyone knows about almonds as they are a prevalent type of tree nut. They are also high in protein, and they produce healthy fats and look after the skin.

When we buy them in the shops, their hard outer shell isn’t there, and that makes it easier for us to eat.

Chicken breast is very popular and high in protein. As long as it has had the skin and bone removed, it is one of the best proteins you can eat.

Oats are yet another of the fantastic foods that keep your body full of the good things it needs; however, at the same time helps you to lose weight.

Cottage Cheese is right for you – especially in the mornings and can eat it for breakfast if you want to; however, don’t eat lots of it and don’t eat it every day, because it tends to cause constipation.

Greek Yoghurt still wears the crown of one of the healthiest of foods you can buy. It has multi powers, such as in helping with gastrointestinal conditions as in lactose intolerance, inflammatory bowel disease, and constipation – all of which are painful and embarrassing.

Milk is rich with calcium, Vitamin D, and potassium, so obviously, it helps to prevent osteoporosis. It helps with strong bones and teeth, muscle strength, and movement and, it contains tryptophan, so if you drink it at night before going to bed, it helps you go to sleep much faster.

It’s a brilliant idea to eat broccoli. It’s that lovely dark green veggie that looks a bit like a tiny tree! Related to the cabbage family is Brussel sprouts, kale, and cauliflower (same shape but different color as the cauliflower is a whitish shade and not dark green. All these plants are collectively referred to, like cruciferous vegetables, and you can eat every one of them.

It contains calcium, iron, potassium just for starters, so it’s healthy in every way, and included in the many things that it will help the body to resist suffering from is constipation – as are all cruciferous vegetables.

Shrimp and Prawns are quite different. However, although we all know that shrimp are smaller than prawns – that’s only one of the differences. Also, they are not the same animal. They are part of the Crustacean family – crab, lobster, crayfish, and barnacles are just some of them.

Prawns live in freshwater, while shrimp are marine creatures. Full of protein, have iron, and very few calories.

Fabulous Fish is full of omega-three fatty acids, vitamins d, and riboflavin. It’s also rich in calcium, iron, magnesium, and potassium plus other minerals.  Fish is so heart-healthy that it’s that it should be part of your diet about twice a week.

5. Lessen Your Stress Levels

Stress is a killer! It creeps up on us gradually – often without us noticing. It gets a chokehold on us, and unless we do something fast, it will squeeze the very life out of us. It’s a ghastly thing to say, but it’s true!

How do you control this? How do you stop it? How do you prevent it from arriving on your horizon without you seeing it and setting up a system to keep you safe?

First, stop worrying about it. That just makes it worse.

Secondly, find a hobby. Not one that you can occasionally do if you’re free and maybe can spare half an hour. That’s not what I’m talking about because that will just add to the stress of trying to manage your time!

Discover something that you like doing. This is all about you because everyone needs my time as they say, and whether you’re male or female, you need to have some of that special time just for you. Something that makes you laugh, stops you from thinking about anything else, and lets you have fun! There’s your lifesaver, and it will work, and you will live longer and be very grateful for it. Just do it; you’ll see.

6. Avoid Alcohol

At least, try to avoid most of it. Naturally, you don’t want to offend, so at weddings, and so on, you can maybe have one or two drinks to be sociable, but it would be best to have none at all.

We drink alcohol and feel relaxed and less stressed. Suddenly our carefully devised diet – this one – goes out the window while we indulge ourselves with lots of pastries filled with lots of temptation, not to mention the desserts – lots of sugary food and lots more relaxing alcohol!

7. Quit Sugar

It sounds drastic – and it is – but quitting sugar will change your life for the better, and you’ll never regret it once you get used to it. The best way to tell you how to do that is to stop taking sugar in any hot drink – tea, coffee, whatever – no more sugar in drinks.

When you’re about to eat cereal, you would sprinkle sugar on it, or mix sugar into it, and etcetera. I think the better (maybe the best) way here is to go cold turkey. Don’t fall into that trap of cutting down a bit, or trying sweeteners or replacing sugar with honey.

They all sound like good plans, but you won’t keep to it – you know it. You’ll try it, and it’ll work for a few weeks or a month even; then slowly but surely, you’ll slide back to your bad old ways.

Avoid anything with sugar in it. No cakes or pastries, no sweet stuff, no sugary drinks. No desserts, no sugary snacks, no more sugar in your life.

It will hurt for a while, and you’ll hate yourself for getting into this mess. However, eventually, you’ll get the hang of it and feel much healthier because of it. Further, you’ll love the way your body feels since sugar has been absent.

8. Cut Carbs

Cut the carbs – especially refined carbs. They will do your system much harm. We’ve already covered that list of carbs – such as sugar, bread – especially white bread. No sugary drinks. No cakes, buns, sugar on your cereal, etc. stay away from pasta, rice and all those other processed and refined foods and buy the brown rice, brown pasta, and brown bread instead.

9. Do Aerobic Exercises

Cardio is all about the heart, I believe. If your body is heart healthier, can you imagine how great you’ll feel? Your body will work better in every way, and it will look better.

I suppose that the fact that people will envy you doesn’t matter but be prepared for those envious looks when you are at the gym or even when you’re at the office or taking the dog for a walk. People see things and oh how envious or full of admiration they are when they see a well cared for the body – a healthy one.

Aerobic exercises have proven their worth and are the most obvious answer to be fit and well and heart-healthy.

Most people don’t like to exercise, but maybe the answer to that is finding yourself a friend who is prepared to go with you to the gym, and do the exercises with you and just generally be your fitness buddy. Generally speaking, when two people are together, they will work hard at something they hate and would never have done on their own.

Here is something that you can start with on a gradual basis and work up to a more intense and longer routine. There are some things you have to cold turkey on. But there are other things, like this cardio workout that you can start slow and built up to big.

10. Tone Your Body

This is a good treadmill workout; begin by walking or jogging for 5 to 10 minutes. Keep the job going for another five to 10 minutes. Start to pick up your pace and again, start running.

You should be working too hard to have a conversation. Spend another five minutes running and then drop your pace back down to a job.

Continue with an alternative with five and 10 minutes of jogging and five to ten minutes of 30 to 45 minutes.

This is an excellent workout to short early signs of losing weight. Keep at this and a few other exercises, and in a short space of time, you will begin to look and feel amazing!
