It sounds drastic – and it is – but quitting sugar will change your life for the better, and you’ll never regret it once you get used to it. The best way to tell you how to do that is to stop taking sugar in any hot drink – tea, coffee, whatever – no more sugar in drinks.

When you’re about to eat cereal, you would sprinkle sugar on it, or mix sugar into it, and etcetera. I think the better (maybe the best) way here is to go cold turkey. Don’t fall into that trap of cutting down a bit, or trying sweeteners or replacing sugar with honey.

They all sound like good plans, but you won’t keep to it – you know it. You’ll try it, and it’ll work for a few weeks or a month even; then slowly but surely, you’ll slide back to your bad old ways.

Avoid anything with sugar in it. No cakes or pastries, no sweet stuff, no sugary drinks. No desserts, no sugary snacks, no more sugar in your life.

It will hurt for a while, and you’ll hate yourself for getting into this mess. However, eventually, you’ll get the hang of it and feel much healthier because of it. Further, you’ll love the way your body feels since sugar has been absent.

8. Cut Carbs

Cut the carbs – especially refined carbs. They will do your system much harm. We’ve already covered that list of carbs – such as sugar, bread – especially white bread. No sugary drinks. No cakes, buns, sugar on your cereal, etc. stay away from pasta, rice and all those other processed and refined foods and buy the brown rice, brown pasta, and brown bread instead.

9. Do Aerobic Exercises

Cardio is all about the heart, I believe. If your body is heart healthier, can you imagine how great you’ll feel? Your body will work better in every way, and it will look better.

I suppose that the fact that people will envy you doesn’t matter but be prepared for those envious looks when you are at the gym or even when you’re at the office or taking the dog for a walk. People see things and oh how envious or full of admiration they are when they see a well cared for the body – a healthy one.

Most people don’t like to exercise, but maybe the answer to that is finding yourself a friend who is prepared to go with you to the gym, and do the exercises with you and just generally be your fitness buddy.
