What is a Green Smoothie?
It’s a mix of veggies – mainly green ones full of nutrients – that have been blended to make a delicious drink.
If you often drink this type of delicious Smoothie instead of a meal, you will often feel too full to eat anything else. There are benefits – it will flush the toxins out of your body and get you healthier.
They Look Good and Taste Better
These smoothies might not look too appealing but, they will taste good and help you lose weight quickly so that eventually you will come to love these smoothie concoctions and give preference to drinking them rather than eating a meal. Better yet, by blending these fruits and veggies, you’ll be able to get in the Smoothie all the edible parts of the fruits or veggies which you wouldn’t usually be able to reach to eat.
Green Smoothie Recipes for Weight Loss:
You can spend some time looking for recipes, but maybe you should dive straight into it and start creating your smoothies.
You know what vegetables you like and which mix well with which others. You also have a good idea of how fruits will blend and where herbs fit into this creation of yours. Make the smoothies so good that you don’t want to stop drinking them – then you’re going to lose a lot of weight!

A note that because we are using broccoli in this Smoothie, you’re getting much more nutrition than a standard green smoothie.
Does it Look Right?
I think the way food is presented a lot to do with how you feel about it.
If someone offers you a tall glass full of something green with a straw in it – what does that suggest to you? The Green would make me think about health, nutrition, and so on. The straw (because kids usually have straws) would make me think innocence of alcohol; and pure and safe ingredients!
Purple Passion Green Smoothie
We’re agreed about how we feel with a glass of Green. But how would you feel about a glass of Purple?
I feel I have to share this with you; partly because it seems a little weird with its purple color and green name; partly because it really is choc-full of the most amazing nutrients that your body needs; and partly because we need a third, I suppose maybe I should give you one more recipe (things seem to work in three’s) for an easy Purple Passion Green Smoothie! It’s got the spinach as a base with little or no flavor, but the strawberries and blueberries are not only full of antioxidants but also flavor and color. This mix is also full of anti-inflammatories and a metabolism boost.
When you embark on this journey, start slowly by replacing one meal with one Smoothie. Don’t guzzle down lots of smoothies and expect the weight just to fall off overnight. This is a process. So, start with replacing one meal. A week or so later, replace another meal; and so on.
Take it easy with the replacements, and it may sound strange but, the best replacement smoothies are the ones you enjoy the most!
Experiment, Freeze, and Experiment
After experimenting to see what you do and don’t like, remember you can make the smoothies you like well ahead of time and freeze them.
Once you get into a routine like that, you cannot possibly go wrong! Because you’ll be making a set number ahead of time and freezing them; another batch will come out of the freezer and into the fridge.
Meantime you’ll probably experiment with another batch when you feel like it.
Have A Lot of Fun
You should have more than a little fun with this – it can’t all be serious and regimented.
